Stainless steel castings are castings made of stainless steel materials, featuring excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance and high strength. The materials of stainless steel castings are mainly divided into types such as austenitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel. Austenitic stainless steel is a common material for stainless steel castings, featuring excellent corrosion resistance and toughness, and is easy to process and form. Common austenitic stainless steel grades include 304, 316 and 317, etc. Among them, 304 stainless steel contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, while 316 and 317 stainless steel contain more molybdenum and have better corrosion resistance. Ferritic stainless steel has good high-temperature resistance and oxidation resistance, but its toughness and weldability are relatively poor. Commonly used ferritic stainless steel grades include 409, 430 and 439, among which 409 stainless steel contains 11% chromium, while 430 and 439 stainless steel contain 16% to 18% chromium. Martensitic stainless steel has relatively high strength and hardness, but its corrosion resistance is relatively poor. Commonly used martensitic stainless steel grades include 410, 420 and 440, etc. Among them, 410 stainless steel contains 12% chromium, while 420 and 440 stainless steel contain more chromium and have higher strength and hardness. Duplex stainless steel combines the advantages of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel, featuring excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and toughness. Commonly used duplex stainless steel grades include 2205 and 2507, etc. Among them, 2205 duplex stainless steel contains 22% chromium and 5% molybdenum, while 2507 duplex stainless steel contains 25% chromium and 7% molybdenum. Stainless steel castings are widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, petroleum, food, medical care, shipping, and construction, and possess significant practical and economic value. |
